ServiceMaster by Rice acquired the Marion location one year ago in May 2015. ServiceMaster by Rice hired and put a new management team in place during the first month of business. The production staff also increased by 75%, leading to a huge increase in work throughout the region. Chris Johnson, ServiceMaster by Rice in Marion’s regional manager brings many years of experience in disaster restoration and cleaning to our team. Our sales and marketing manager, Cindy Lampe, is continuously networking and communicating our disaster restoration capabilities to the Iowa City and Cedar Rapids area.

In addition to the core ServiceMaster by Rice services, the Marion location provides air duct cleaning services to remove dust and debris from HVAC systems in homes and businesses.
Our Business in Action
The ServiceMaster by Rice Marion location received a call on April 7th at 9:30 PM about a broken pipe in the ceiling at the University of Iowa Swimming Center. The broken pipe affected the bleacher areas, back hallways, and stairwells on the East side of the building. ServiceMaster by Rice extracted the carpeted areas and then set drying equipment and air scrubbers. Our team demoed the affected areas of the ceiling in both the stairwells and parts of the walls in the hallways. Repairs to the building were done by another contractor.
