An apartment building in Fort Dodge caught fire on the first floor that affected the rest of the building. After the fire was put out, ServiceMaster was called for emergency fire cleanup and restoration. The ServiceMaster by Rice team is tasked with mitigation and reconstruction of the parts of the building destroyed by fire. The photos above show an after photo of the building that is still in progress, but the mitigation of exterior smoke damage and initial reconstruction work can be seen.

Smoke Damage At A Healthcare Facility
A fire at a healthcare facility caused smoke damage throughout the entire facility. We had crews on site right away and had the building back up and running within 24 hours.
Major Flooding Restoration Service At Hilton Coliseum
Ames, IA received large amounts of rain over a three-day period, including 3.5 inches in 40 minutes on the third day. This rain caused the Squaw creek to crest and flood Iowa State’s campus. There were 17 buildings affected by the floods (684,500 sq ft of water damage) and 35 additional buildings had water damaged from the backed-up storm sewers. Hilton Coliseum took a hard hit. The basketball court was perfectly floating 10 feet about the main floor of the coliseum. We successfully mitigated all affected areas and we had Hilton back up and running prior to the start of the fall basketball season.
Water Main Break Water Damage In Downtown Des Moines
A water main break in the street caused multiple businesses to flood in downtown Des Moines. Some of these businesses had multiple feet of water rush into them while they were serving their customers. We responded right away to help with the water damage and get them back open for business as quickly as possible.
Hotel & Convention Center Water Removal
In July of 2019 Kearney, Nebraska received over 9 inches of rain in one night causing historic flooding. Over 300 people had to be evacuated from hotels in the area. Some of those hotels had between 4 and 6 feet of water in them. We mobilized right away that next morning and started working as the water receded. We were able to mitigate hotels, conventions centers, and a corporate office building. We had several hundred pieces of drying equipment running, along with multiple 5000 CFM Desiccants.

The Theater, Welcome Center, parking garages, and tunnels had to be pumped out with water removal pumps that ran consistently for weeks to get all of it out. What you are seeing here is the wardrobe room, where everything had to be thrown out and the walls were gutted to avoid mold removal down the line. The entire job had nearly 1,000 pieces of drying equipment.

Flooding from Hurricane Harvey inside of the infamous Wortham Theater in downtown Houstin, TX.
