"A water leak in the kitchen dishwasher required reflooring with cabinet and appliance removal, packing of the kitchen cabinets, drawers, and pantry contents for storage in a driveway pod.
My insurance company sent Service Master to perform the move-out to the pod and return after the repairs were completed. Service Master was the one stop service provider.
SM’s estimator arrived to review the damage and assess the resources required. He said to give him a call a couple of days before the move-out day.
We called the project manager when ready. Service Master arranged for a “pod” to be dropped in the driveway the day before the move. On move day, Service Master sent a team led by Raol and Zinzun who disassembled a large table and wrapped the table and appliances for storage while another group proceeded to wrap, the contents of all the drawers and shelves, packed them in storage boxes with labels of the contents and the drawer or cupboard that they came from. They loaded them very neat and tightly into the pod.
The unpack process was about 3 months later. One phone call to Service Master on a Wednesday scheduled Raol and Zinzun return at 8:00 A.M. on Friday to unload the pod. They were wearing their COVID masks, put a tarp on the new kitchen floor to protect it, and proceeded to unload the contents of the pod and assemble the kitchen table, unwrap the protective film around the appliances, and stage the boxes for unpacking at our direction. They even explained that the boxes were ours to keep, reuse, give away, or sell, but if we flattened them and put them in the pod, they would dispose of the cardboard and wrapping tissue when the pod was removed.
This was a daunting task for a senior to handle, but Service Master made it fast, easy, and efficient with a team that treated our kitchen stuff like it was their own. I would not hesitate to use them on another project or recommend them to friends. Job well done! It was a pleasure to work with them.
