Spring Clean Your Bedroom
Welcome to spring! Now is the perfect time to get that yearly spring cleaning done. Don’t panic, you don’t have to do your entire house at once and we are here to help. By choosing one room every few days to deep clean, you won’t get burnt out. Lets start with one of the most important rooms in your home, your bedroom. Your bedroom is your place of relaxation so you will want to give it extra special attention.
Spring Cleaning Tips for Your Bedroom
Clean your Bedding
Strip down your bed sheets, comforter, pillow shams, etc and give them a good wash. Make sure to check your bedding labels for instructions on how to care for them. Next, see if your pillows can be machine washed. If so, wash them as well on a gentle cycle. Your bed will be fresh and clean from top to bottom.
Organize Your Closets and Dressers
Out with the old, in with the new. Make room for new items this year by cleaning out your closet. It’s never fun, but much needed. Decide to donate those clothes that you just don’t wear. You and your closet will feel good when your done. Go through your dressers as well and do the same, be sure not to over stuff your drawers.
Turn Your Mattress
Now is the time to turn your mattress to the other side. This actually gives your mattress a longer lifespan and it will make it more comfortable to you. You can dust your mattress with baking soda to keep it smelling fresh.
Give your Room a Good Dusting
Break out your dust cloth and give your room a good dusting. Pay attention to your blinds, nightstands, dressers, televisions. clocks, bed, etc. Don’t leave any place undone! Its easy to forget about dusting, so don’t be surprised if you find some extra dirty areas.
Take care of Your Floors
Clean and vacuum your carpets to complete your bedroom cleaning. If you have wood floors, vacuum and mop to get them making them bright and shiny. Flooring can hold a lot of dirt and bacteria so this is very important to keep clean on a regular basis.
