About Ashland, KY
Situated on a southern bank of the Ohio River, Ashland joins Huntington, WV as part of what is referred to as the “Tri-State area” or, more colloquially, “Kyova.” With a 2020 population of 21,625, our city was founded as Poage’s Landing in 1786. The name was changed to Ashland in 1854.
