This weekend, Dianne Anderson, ServiceMaster NCR’s (SMNCR) Ambassador to the Salvation Army, was assisting the Fairfax Salvation Army for the Team Up! 5K. Run/Walk. Dianne is “on loan” from SMNCR to the Salvation Army (@salarmynca) in an effort to give back to the community through this wonderfully effective charity. This weekend, she supplied support and was responsible for procuring donations to help make the event successful. (Shoutout to Crystal Water! Thank you!)
The Salvation Army has been providing free afterschool programs to less fortunate children and their families since 2002. These programs offer character development activities, music instruction, homework help, on-site recreation, and an overall safe place for our children to be when there is nowhere else to go. This year the afterschool program is being expanded to 5 days/week, thus helping many more families. They can only do this with help from the community.
At ServiceMaster NCR, we are committed to giving back to our local community and have always partnered with local charity organizations to provide programs that benefit our community. We believe that the Salvation Army does excellent work to help those who are less fortunate, especially with their focus on children who will be cared for by this afterschool program. Thank you to everyone who participated in the Team Up! 5K Run/Walk and who donated to the cause.
